Mirakash vs PolyAI

Enterprise voice assistants for customer service, focused on natural spoken conversation for large brands.

Below is what PolyAI is good at, said without sandbagging, and where we differ — in terms you can check on a call with either of us.

What PolyAI is good at
  • Long experience in spoken conversation specifically — they were doing voice properly before the current wave.

  • Strong enterprise references in hospitality, banking and telecoms.

  • Good at the hard parts of real telephony: accents, noise, interruption.

Where Mirakash is different

What we can do that is hard to answer

01

Indian languages on real phone calls

Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil among others, for both speech recognition and speech synthesis, on the public telephone network — not an English model with an accent setting, and not text-only. This is the difference that decides most deals we win: a platform built for English-speaking markets can be excellent and still be unusable for a call centre in Kerala.

02

A pipeline you can take apart

Speech-to-text, the language model and text-to-speech are separate stages behind one interface, so any of the three can be swapped — for cost, for quality, or for a language a particular vendor handles badly. Most platforms in this category are a single opinionated stack. That is simpler, and it is also why a customer who needs a different speech vendor for one language has no move to make.

03

Per-second billing, and voicemail detected

Calls bill on connected seconds rather than rounded-up minutes, and an answering machine is detected so a voicemail is neither billed nor talked to as though it were a person. On an outbound campaign where a third of dials reach voicemail, the difference between those two billing models is most of the bill.

04

Self-hostable, and your credentials stay yours

The platform is API-first and can run in your own infrastructure, and bring-your-own vendor keys are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. For regulated buyers who cannot send call audio to a vendor's cloud, this is frequently the whole decision.

Straight answer

When you should pick PolyAI instead

You are a large brand with a mainly English-speaking customer base, buying a managed enterprise assistant with implementation included.

We would rather tell you that now than three weeks into an evaluation. If that describes you, they are a good choice and we will say so on the call.

Everything on this page about PolyAI is drawn from their own public positioning and reviewed on 2026-08-15. Products move, and this one may be out of date before we notice — if we have got something wrong about PolyAI, tell us at mirakash.com/contact and we will correct it. We are not interested in winning an argument with a page nobody can reply to.
